News: August 2008
Some news for August...
This Sunday (3 August 2008) we've got The Fence Collective's Red Well heading down from Edinburgh. Joyzine called them the 'next generation of Scottish talent' and we're not about to disagree. In support are Dog Years, who release their second album, Frankenstein Songs later in August, and the gorgeous Dot To Dots. The show is at the Head of Steam, doors are 8pm and it's £4 entry.

Also just a reminder that the FIL100 Retrospective exhibition remains on display at the Newcastle Arts Centre, Westgate Road, until Saturday 9 August 2008, at which point we'll, I don't know, put it all up in the spare room I guess. Open daily 9am - 5.30pm, free entry.
Finally for this month, just to let you know the August Muxtape theme is Cars, so head on over to fakeindielabel @ Muxtape.com for some petrol-pop obvious ("Car Song" by Elastia) and the hopefully not so obvious (The Amateurs' "Things You Only Know If You Don't Drive").
