Quick update for July...

Tomorrow (Monday 7 July) Glissando return to Newcastle as part of their co-headline tour with Her Name Is Calla. Anyone who was at our Glissando show in May will know this band are something special and Calla are an equally exciting prospect. The show is at the Head of Steam, doors are 8, entry is £4 and in support we've got Nathalie Stern from Lake Me, performing her acapella looped Swedish folk.

We're pretty excited to be hosting The Starlets, Glaswegian indiepop, well, starlets, and Japan's Andersens on Sunday 13 July. Expect gorgeous twinkly gems from both, plus an acoustic set from FIL favourites Blackflower at the Head of Steam. Doors are 8pm and it's £3 entry.

July's Muxtape is a cover-versions special, including The Mex-Icons covering Bryan Adams, Division Day taking on Depeche Mode and The Starlets (plug) perfoming Sunday to Saturday by June Brides.
